I started searching for a perfect birthday gift for Lady Rose last summer. Her bday was at the end of October and I should’ve had plenty of time. But, I will be honest in saying that between my daughter running away a couple of weeks prior to the big day and the turmoil my life has been in since I’ve been a very bad friend and never did manage to find the right item to thank her for all she means to me.

All that changed when one of our blogreaders, FoxChild, opened her own store Shades of Midnight. I knew immidiately that this would be where I would buy the present(s) and was thrilled when she began a 20% off sale just in time for me to make my purchase and have it on hand to give to Lady Rose during our visit on Saturday.

Not only is the site attractive & easy to navigate but the wares are simply put wonderful. Every jewelery item is made one at a time (once you buy it its gone from the site) and it is obvious from the feel of the items that they were crafted with not only skill but intent and focus. I also adore that she puts full decriptions on the site of the properties of each stone. I have to say that this particular set appealed to me not just because of its beauty but because of the decriptions of the stones. I picked out earrings and a necklace in Ruby in Zoisite, Garnet and Tourmalinated Quartz which according to her store-site:

Ruby in Zoiste is a Spirit element stone associated with the root/base, heart, and third eye chakras. This is a combination of both Ruby and Zoisite. I also picked out a gorgeous pendulum (as pretty as it looked on the site I was overwhelmed by its beauty upon arrival) with amethyst (Lady Rose’s favorite stone) and clear quartz.

... My dear friend and heart-sister, Mama Kelly surprised me last weekend when I came for a visit with a bag full of awesome gifts (to read more see post: very late birthday present).

I was delighted and excited by the awesome, truly beautiful pendulum with a large amethyst (my favorite stone) and clear quartz accent. The earring and necklace set made with beads of ruby in zoiste, garnet, and tourmalinated quartz are divine, and a perfect combo in tune with where I am at this point in life - renewing my connection to spirit. Pendulum Arrived

My pendulum arrived today and it is WONDERFUL! It called to me the second I saw it and if anything, holding it in my hands is so soothing, and I love to admire how lovely it is! I have never used a pendulum before, but I can't wait to learn all about it with my new pretty!
